The KIWAMI Premium Set is a masterpiece crafted with an uncompromising selection of the finest materials, carefully collected over many years and used generously to create an exceptional brush experience.
Drawing on Chikuhodo’s decades of expertise in selecting and working with fine brush materials, we have created a special collection featuring an entirely new combination of materials, bringing out the unique qualities of each to their fullest potential.
For the goat hair brushes, we selected Saibikōhō, one of the rarest and finest grades of goat hair. Its exceptionally fine, translucent tips glide over the skin with remarkable delicacy, creating a smooth, luxurious feel that seems to gently melt into the skin.
The highly prized Kolinsky offers an ideal balance of flexibility and resilience, while its tips are remarkably soft. This allows for effortless, controlled brush movement and an exceptionally refined finish.
The brush handles are crafted from ebony, adding a sense of depth and elegance to each brush. The character "極" (KIWAMI) is reproduced using a special printing technique from the handwritten calligraphy of Tesshyu, Chikuhodo’s master brushmaker.
