Makeup Brush Care Guide
If you notice that makeup residue remains on the bristles, the tips begin to clump, or the brush feels different on your skin than usual, it is time to clean your brush.
If you gently wipe the bristles on a tissue after each use, cleaning once a month to once every six months is sufficient.
Please note that excessive washing may cause deterioration of the bristles.
Lip Brush Care
After use, gently wipe lipstick residue from the tip of the brush with a tissue to keep it clean at all times.
About Brush Lifespan
The lifespan of a brush varies depending on the bristle material, frequency of use, application method, and care routine.
As a general guideline:
Makeup brushes: approximately 3–5 years
Facial cleansing brushes: approximately 6 months to 2 years
Brushes naturally wear down with use.
If you notice any of the following, it may be time to replace your brush:
- The brush begins to feel irritating on the skin
- Shedding or broken bristles occur with each use
- The bristles lose their softness, luster, or feel dry and rough
These changes are signs that the brush has reached the end of its lifespan.
